The same thing is with farewell phrases. In English, the word goodbye is both formal and informal.

In Armenian, the word tstesutyun (ցտեսություն) is formal, which means “till our next meeting”.
The informal one is hajoghutyun, which is translated as “good luck”. As you see both variants are very warm and positive.

The Word Shnorhakalutyun (շնորհակալություն) means thank you in Armenian.
It is obvious that it is a rather long phrase. Sometimes pronouncing the whole word may be difficult or not proper to the situation. Armenians found a peculiar solution to it. Very often they replace Armenian word shnorhakalutyun with French word merci.

For knowing the price of a certain product first of all you must start with the phrase inch arje? (Ի՞նչ արժե), which is translated as “how much does it cost?” after your question they will tell you the price.
Everything seems clear. However, never forget about deeply rooted Armenian tendency: that is, the first price they declare may often not coincide with the real price. This, of course doesn’t refer to supermarkets and stores, where the price is fixed.

But if you’re in a traditional market, then never forget about magic phrase verjin ginn e? (վերջի՞ն գինն է) which means “is that the final price?”.
The answer may be surprising for you, because the final price of the product will be much cheаper.  Armenian phrases like these will help you to master the art of bargaining, which will even become fun for you.

Armenian Phrases: Love Words in Armenian
Love words are the most favorite ones among Armenians. Armenians belong to those nations that are very friendly. They use love words very frequently. They can be easily devoted even to a complete stranger and call them with those friendly and warm love words.

Jan (Ջան)
Jan belongs to those Armenian phrases, that is typical only to Armenians. It’s really difficult to find any corresponding word in other languages. Jan is a unique word which expresses tenderness and love towards a person whom it is addressed. It shows a person’s friendly attitude and willingness of good relations.
The word jan is usually placed after the names, for example: Armine jan.

Tsavt Tanem (Ցավդ Տանեմ)
The translation of this phrase will be somehow strange. There is no a rational translation for it. It approximately means “let me take your pain”. The phrase tsavt tanem also belongs to those love words which cannot be found in any other language.
The phrase contains a huge emotional coloring in it. Armenians are usually not generous with this phrase. They address it to those who are really very important to them. Though the translation of the phrase may seem a bit weird, it is very positive and widely accepted phrase among Armenians.

Sirum еm Qez (Սիրում եմ Քեզ)

Funny Armenian phrases #1: Sirt chunem (Սիրտ չունեմ)
I have no heart. This weird phrase is used when a person is upset and doesn’t have any wish to do something. In this case, when someone suggests them doing something they say “sirt chunem”.

Funny Armenian phrases #2: Boyit mermem- (Բոյիդ մեռնեմ)
Let me die on your height (tallness). This is a typical Armenian phrase. The phrase is especially loved by Armenian grannies. They like to call with this phrase their grandchildren. By this phrase, they want to express how much they love and adore them.
 
Funny Armenian phrases #3: Glukhs mi hardukir (Գլուխս մի հարդուկիր)

This is just one more funny Armenian phrase, which means “you are talking nonsense and it bores me”. The phrase Glukhs tarar (գլուխս տարար) has exactly the same meaning and is translated as “you have taken my head”
